Does Pluto meet the NIH GDS requirements?

Yes, using Pluto enables you to comply with the NIH best practices and GDS policy

Background

NIH will be implementing changes that will require new and renewing Approved Users to attest to compliance with the updated security standards in the NIH Security Best Practices for Users of Controlled-Access Data beginning April 2, 2025.

All researchers generating, using, or accessing genomic data must secure the data according to the NIH Security Best Practices for Controlled-Access Data Subject to the NIH Genomic Data (GDS) Policy until project closeout or renewal.

For additional information, please see Implementation Update for Data Management and Access Practices Under the Genomic Data Sharing Policy (NOT-OD-24-157) . Direct inquiries can be made to GDS@mail.nih.gov.
