Citing Pluto

Providing attribution in the Methods or related sections of posters, publications, and other materials

Overview

In general, if you plan to publish plots or tabular results that you generated with Pluto in research papers, posters, or any other materials, please provide attribution and include a URL to Pluto's website with a statement similar to one of the following:

  • "Plots created with Pluto (https://pluto.bio)."
  • "Analysis performed using Pluto (https://pluto.bio)."

This phrase is typically put into the Methods section or similar area of a publication. For an example of a paper citing Pluto, see Dasgupta et al. Nature Communications (2023).

Retrieving auto-generated methods from Pluto ✨

Pluto automatically generates methods sections containing any user-selected parameters along with references to any algorithms or software used.

Download pipeline methods from the Pipeline tab > View methods:

 

Analysis methods

Analysis methods can be downloaded from any plot you've created in Pluto. Select the "..." menu in the top right corner > View methods:
